Hello Leo,
I think we communicated via email as well but for the purpose of other customers, all of our sized roots (small, medium, large, jumbo and prong) as well as our 4-year field-run roots were harvested when they were four years old. We also have a 3-year field run(not sorted by size). We do not have anything older.

Excellent roots of superb quality!

Before my purchase of 8 ounces of medium root, I had yet to experience American ginseng. I grew up chewing roots of Chinese ginseng, and although they are different, the American is wonderful to chew and provides much of the same flavor as Chinese ginseng albeit a little more mild. I will definitely purchase again.
